Club Z! strives to employ Tutors with diverse backgrounds and a love for teaching. All of our tutors for Kindergarten through 8th grade are certified teachers. For students in 9th grade through college, Tutors may be certified or have a degree in a specific subject area with tutoring experience.

The backgrounds of some of our Tutors:

Theresa Zunino-McFalls is your Avondale, PA Area Director. Theresa received her M.Ed in Special Education from West Chester University and earned her BS.Ed in Education in 1994. Theresa is certified to teach Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. After 7 years and three children, she took a position as a Behavior Specialist Consultant working with the behavioral/emotional/social issues of children with special needs. She now runs the Avondale Club Z! full time. Theresa is a hands-on owner who believes strongly in a team approach when working with children.

• Elementary Education: We have tutors who currently teach in our local elementary schools and well as those have left the classroom to raise young children but can't give up that hand in education!   Many of our Elementary Tutors hold Master's Degrees. Some areas of expertise include home schooling (K12 curriculum among others), issues in special education, ESL, Project READ, Literacy, Wilson Reading, various math curriculums, behavior intervention,  and reading and math assessments.

• Middle School, High School and College:; The caliber of higher level teachers we have been able to bring on staff has amazed me. We have been able to hire Ph.Ds and college professors to work with our students. A sampling of our current staff qualifications: Biochemistry, Ph.D. candidate in Chemical Engineering, Ph.D. in Radiation Biology, Master in Physics, consultant in the Nuclear  Power Industry, Ph.D in Chemical Biology, Ph.D in Microbiology and Immunology, 7 years as a Verbal SAT Tutor, AP History Teacher, MA in English,  current UofD professor, BA in Political Science, and MS Civil Engineering.
