What is the LSAT Test?

The LSAT, or Law School Admission Test, is a six section, multiple-choice test for those individuals applying to law schools in the United States, Canada, Australia and many more countries. As part of the admissions process, American Bar Association (ABA)-approved law schools, most Canadian law schools, and many other law schools require applicants to take the LSAT. The test specifically measures the essential skills of analytical reasoning, reading comprehension, and logical reasoning, all of which are considered necessary for achievement in Law School. The LSAT exam also includes an unscored writing portion that is sent the Law Schools upon application, although it is not used by all schools to determine eligibility.
