ASVAB Test Prep Tutoring: In Home & Online
The ASVAB, or Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, is a military entrance exam used to help determine military eligibility as well as to provide information about your vocational interests and aptitudes. This test is used by each military branch, including: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard. While there are nine different sections of the ASVAB test, you will only be scored in four vital areas for basic enlistment, which include arithmetic reasoning, mathematics knowledge, word knowledge, and paragraph comprehension. Each of these counts towards your Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score. Your AFQT score determines whether you are proficient enough to enlist in the U.S. military.
The other important areas of the ASVAB score will determine your aptitude for military occupational specialties and enlistment bonuses. A high score will improve your chances of getting the specialty job and signing bonus you want.
