Given a function f specified by parametric variables u_1, ..., u_n, a reparameterization f^^ of f over domain U is a change of variables u_i element U->v_i->V via a function ϕ such that f^^(v_i) = f(ϕ(v_i)) and there exists an inverse ϕ^(-1) such that f^^(ϕ^(-1)(u_i)) = f(u_i).
