    Haűy Construction

    Definition

    The construction of polyhedra using identical building blocks. The illustrations above show such constructions for the cuboctahedron, octahedron rhombic dodecahedron, and square pyramid. In Book XIII of the Elements, Euclid used a Haűy construction to build the dodecahedron.
