    Positive Matrix

    Definition

A positive matrix is a real or integer matrix (a)_(i j) for which each matrix element is a positive number, i.e., a_(i j)>0 for all i, j. Positive matrices are therefore a subset of nonnegative matrices. Note that a positive matrix is not the same as a positive definite matrix.
