#ShowClubZLove

It’s spring and LOVE is in the air at Club Z! Maybe it’s the flowers starting to bloom or just the promise of warmer days ahead, but whatever it is, it has us feeling all warm and fuzzy and wanting to show the love. One of the reasons we’re feeling so great is that we know that the students we help are seeing real success! From better grades and higher test scores to increased confidence and a renewed love of school, Club Z! is having a real impact on real students, and we couldn’t be happier about that. And we just can’t keep this kind of joy to ourselves! That’s why we are announcing our #ShowClubZLove giveaway on Facebook. Here’s how it will work – we want the world (or at least the Facebook world) to hear firsthand how you feel about Club Z! Love your tutor? Let us know! Seeing your grades go up? Tell us about it! From parents and students to tutors and staff, we want to hear from you! Simply post a video to our Facebook timeline and include #ShowClubZLove in your post.  And we’ll show that love right back to you in the form of a Starbucks® or Amazon® gift card.* Really, it’s that simple. We love our students, and find such joy in seeing them succeed in school and beyond. We love our tutors, and appreciate their dedication to helping students grow. We love our schools, and we take great pride in partnering with them to help students succeed. And we love our staff, and are so grateful for their hard work and commitment to Club Z! Please join us this spring and #ShowClubZLove. *Registered Facebook users will receive one (1) Starbucks® electronic gift card in the amount of five dollars ($5 USD) upon successful posting of a written testimonial, or one (1) Amazon® electronic gift card in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25 USD) upon successful posting of a video testimonial, with the #ShowClubZLove tag on a designated Club Z! Facebook timeline. Limit one (1) gift card per person. Gift cards will be delivered electronically via Facebook Messenger or email.

No matter how you look at it, college is an expensive proposition these days. Both public and private colleges and universities have had to raise fees and tuition as costs have increased. As a result, college student debt has skyrocketed and many students end up with loan payments years, sometimes even decades, after graduation. But with some careful planning and creative thinking, there are lots of other ways to help pay for college and avoid being stuck with big loan payments after graduation. One final but important step in the college application process is to include an application for financial aid.

As parents, and grandparents for that matter, we consider it to be a bit of a rite of passage to tell our children just how easy they have it compared to what we went through at their age. File this under the “when I was your age, I had to walk 2 miles to school each day, uphill both ways” category.

For any parent of a college-bound student, SAT and ACT test scores are no doubt at the center of most dinner table discussions. While no one will argue that test scores alone are the deciding factor in college admissions, and many colleges are moving toward a test-optional admissions policy, strong scores on the SAT and or ACT can definitely help a student’s chance of gaining admission to his/her college of choice.
